Changing Spaces of Education: New Perspectives on the Nature of Learning aims to address this gap in our understanding, by bringing together geographers and educationalists from five different countries to examine the ways in which spaces of education and learning are being reconfigured and redefined in the twenty-first century.

In the following section, we outline a number of the specific advantages to education of using some of the theoretical and methodological tools made available by paying greater attention to space and place.
